|
At a time when many people are facing difficult
financial choices, I want to reassure you that this
Y’s commitment is to provide you and your family
with membership and services at affordable rates. I
am thrilled to let you know that we will not
be increasing membership fees in January.
We believe it is vitally important for children,
families and people of all ages to continue to have
access to YMCA membership, fellowship and
program
opportunities. The Y provides opportunities to build
family relationships, reduce stress, improve health,
and oftentimes just be a place to come for a change
of pace.
Now, I want to take this opportunity to get you
thinking about how we will be working to better
serve you and your family for years to come.
First, we will be concentrating our efforts on
four simple words that will help us create
insanely great experiences for you
and your family -
ALWAYS • SAFER • BETTER • FAMILY.
Of course, we will continue to focus on critical
areas of need in our community through our efforts
in:
- YOUTH DEVELOPMENT by nurturing the potential
of every child & teen,
- HEALTHY LIVING by working to improve the
health and well being of our community,
- SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY by giving back and
providing support to our neighbors.
We will also challenge ourselves to:
- Grow our association in new, different and
exciting ways,
- Provide you with the best facilities
possible,
- Simplify our operations by emphasizing
EXCELLENCE, RELIABILITY AND COMPASSION.
More than ever, we feel it is important to reach
out and provide assistance to anyone who needs a
little help during this difficult time, especially
those who may have experienced a loss of income. We
know that human nature is such that people may be
reluctant to ask for help or assistance. With that
being said, we want to emphasize that the Y is,
first and foremost, a charitable organization that
is committed to helping the community. We want to
remind you that our YMCA CARES financial assistance
program is always available and all requests are
treated in a discreet and sensitive manner.
The bottom line is all of this will not be
accomplished without you.
I am ecstatic that you
have been part of our cause. I look forward to
continuing the journey of strengthening our
community and ensuring that our Y will
ALWAYS be
SAFER and
BETTER for you and your
FAMILY.
