Adults
The Community YMCA offers our older adults more than
just programs to improve the body. The Community YMCA
offers a place where they can form lasting friendships.
Our older adults that visit the YMCA treat each other
like family and support each other through both the
good and not so good times. Most seniors agree that
the YMCA makes a real difference in their lives.
Whether married or single, the seniors at the Community
YMCA of Eastern Delaware County come to swim and workout,
but most of all they come for the companionship. The
Community YMCA continues to expand our programming in
adult development and fitness to help our seniors maintain
a quality of life that keeps them active and enthusiastic
about life.

Friendly Seniors
Club
Join this senior, social group. No experience
necessary, all are welcome. Line dancing, 50/50
drawings and Pinochle card playing available.
Thursday 12:30-2pm

Cost: $15 per year and $1/week
(payable to Friendly Seniors Club)
Low Impact
A cardio class that is ideal for the newer
or older participant. Workout at your own
pace while getting in shape. Body toning,
abdominals and stretching are included in
this class.

AOA Beginner Strength
Designed for seniors to improve balance and
flexibility, as well as overall fitness level.
Little or no standing.

W.E.A.R.
(formerly Arthritis Water Exercise)
Range of motion exercises conducted in shallow
water. LY
Basic Strength
Focuses on building core strength, good balance
and increasing physical strength and flexibility.

Bad Back
Exercise, strength and mobility class.

Water Jogging
Deep end aerobic fitness class without the stress
on joints. RY |
Cardio Dance & More
A 55 minute class with great music and fun choreography
guaranteed to burn mega calories!! Strength,
abdominals and sometimes step aerobics are incorporated
in this class.

Prana/Chair Yoga
Beginner Yoga class using simple breathing
techniques. Use of chairs if can not get on
floor.

Water Aerobics
Shallow water class choreographed to music.

Aqua Easy
A shallow water class with slow, repetitious
exercises. RY
Water Walking
Low impact exercises in the deep end.

Splash Down
Shallow and deep end class with cardio and sculpting.

Walk with Ease
Learn the fundamentals of how beneficial walking
can be and gain the knowledge of different exercises
as well as stretching to help fight against
arthritis. RY
